You will experience this unique ancient city and its culture along Ganga Ghat and in narrow streets and visit local market in old city alleys, ancient temples along Ganga Ghat and Vishwanath Corridor area, and the most sacred cremation site for Hinduism followers – Mankarnika Ghat. Ghats in Varanasi / Benaras are riverfront steps leading to the banks of the River Ganges. Life along Ganga Ghats is itself a unique experience. The market in old city alleys will define the complete culture of this city. In Vishwanath Corridor area, you will see 100’s of ancient temples including Shri Kashi Viswanath Temple and Nepali Temple (Mini Khajuraho). You will see an observatory – Jantar Mantar at Maan Mandir Ghat. Alamgir Mosque at Panchganga Ghat, leaning temple at Manikarnika Ghat, are the important stops in this walking tour. You will get brief description of Hindu religion, concept of moksha and Hindu way of life in this city. Temples of different deities related to Hindu religion, we will see along Ganga Ghat. Its takes 2 to 3 days to cover everything along Ganga Ghat but your guide will try to cover important things in this 3 hours walking tour. Visit to Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple is not included in this walking tour. At the end, your guide will tell you how to explore the places that has not been covered in this walking tour by your own.
